IMPACTO FECAL (Spa) "Encerrado en mi" MCD 99/2000 GUIN. Completely americanized Brutal Death and I know Spanish people are proud of this fact, to sound american seems to be a real trendy cult over there! Whilst IMPACTO FECAL are not bad at what they do, I won't be listening to this release more than once or twice in my whole life, the fact is that too many bands are doing this nowadays and I can't get into something so predictable and cliché, common, banal tunes… That's honestly done in my opinion, so if you crave and can't get bored of the Brutal american style, just get it now.
IMPURE (GER) "SOMETHING EVIL" MCD 2000 Self-prod. This is something truly Evil! Nine tracks + an intro for just 26mn... I can't consider this as a full-length but the band is good like a more grinding version of newer CANNIBAL CORPSE, great sound, their Grind/Death offers nothing new nor challenging but the quality is here and they blast properly, very professional release, they now have to work on originality because many riffs were already too familiar to me and very predictable just for my own taste. By this I mean that their influences are mainly taken from the old & new school of Death Metal. IMPURE is (fortunately!) another good brutal band lacking of something their own or something special... I highly recommend this anyway, BUY OR DIE!!! c/o J. IMPURE (GER) "IN DISRESPECT TO MANKIND" MCD 2001. Once again, 28:36 with 4mn of intro/outro, it's something musically real too short! Sorry again if I'm classifying it as a MCD but that's not my fault! Just like the first "CD", they are good brutallers & blasters but lacked something to make me fully enjoy their tunes, it's as usual very new school american influenced but they finally seem having found something of their own in the most Extreme & fast accelerations, a technical grinding edge with those solos induced a personal mood and that's maybe what lacked in the first CD. Now, they make me think of SEVERE TORTURE and a more Death Metal (audible?) version of AGONY CONSCIENCE and that is a compliment! That's an ok Death/Grind "album" finally, I haven't complain too much this time, BUY OR DIE!

Black Metal band here with some fast materials and the usual galloping melodies, too much trends influenced for my taste with keyboards & atmospheric shit... IMPURITY (USA) "Unearthly Affinity" MCD 2003 NUCLEAR WINTER. I can't understand why this band has been compared to Immolation and Incantation… Their style has more in common with the old BROKEN HOPE and FLESHGRIND with a small intent to DETERIOROT for the dark tunes here & there, maybe the first riffs are a little similar to Immolation but in no way the rest of the 5 songs made me think about them! Just let me tell you that the band performs old-school Death Metal the way I love it: blasting, darkened, catchy and of course brutal!! There's really something of the bands I mentioned within IMPURITY's structures, some will consider them as classic or unoriginal Death Metal that's true but IMPURITY know how to perform the real obscure moods in ancient Death Metal traditions, something that many new bands can't do, at least IMPURITY do it pretty well compared to many other so called "Death Metal bands". Okay, this is raw technical Death/Grind, the sound isn't the best around and the musicians showed some mistakes but it's convincing, I'll consider this as a Demo more than an official release, a better production would have made me more enthusiast. But INCARRION are showing great potential at mixing brutality & originality, quick & twisted riffs like INTERVALLE BIZARRE with a real dirty, filthy production, in a word: underground! INFERNAL (BRA) MCD-R. This is not something released officially, just some of their tracks from comp LP 90, 7"EP 92, Live tracks '93 and Demo 97 that Mauricio did himself onto a CD-R and I've got great pleasure to hear that old-school Death Metal resurrection! Long time running Death Metal band of the underground with something particular, their own sound of Death! Evil, thrashing & haunting, morbid as Hell with all those catchy riffs & leads from beyond, I adore!! One of the rare bands and also most underrated who can be proud having found their own style, unfortunately never get the recognition it deserves. They released their second CD by themselves and I truly hope things will change soon! BUY OR DIE!!
INFERNAL (USA) "Infernal" MCD 99 CROOK'D. This one hails from Florida and performs... Death Metal of course! By the intro, they summoned the beast of Death who suddenly appeared and took form of a blasting Death Metal savagery. The band shows some weak points such as a too deaf sound, mistakes in their performances but also impressed me by the diversity of the arrangements, really original new band almost as refreshing as the INFERNAL from Brazil. Drastically different from the typical Floridian Death Metal that I used to know a couple of years ago, this band got many great & personal ideas, uncommon structures and real punishing accelerations! In fact, these good points made me forget about the poor production & mistakes, it is really nothing compared to their unpredictable talent, plus they are Evil, the vocals resound like coming from old NECROPHAGIA's "Season Of The Dead" but lower and more haunting, possessed... Lots of old-school influences as well but innovative by adding & creating something their own... This band is damn interesting and excellent, I can't wait to hear for more, I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!! INSISION (SWE) "THE DEAD LIVE ON" MCD 99 HEATHENDOOM. American Brutal Death Metal influenced band, their Demo didn't impress me that much but this MCD is now very good, a lot of arrangements & solos make the whole pretty brutal in the vein of CANNIBAL CORPSE & SUFFOCATION but a little slower and the production kicks asses! Heavy band for sure! There is nothing that I dislike here, the thrashing heaviness and technical catchiness are all performed with skills and precision, strong grunting vocals followed by occasional screamings, original blasting drumming... HOLOCAUST (SWE) “HELLFIRE HOLOCAUST” MCD 2000 SOUND RIOT. Quite powerful Swedish Death/Black/Dark Metal with a great sound quality, they remind me of VADER but more intense & heavier with some catchy speed Dark/Black Metal melodies, some riffs are also very old SLAYER alike but more intense. This contains pure Metal energies and is very interesting by its attractive intense darknening style, a very original band that don’t abuse the melodic tunes and incorporate some great warrior feelings, note that the voice isn’t shrieky like it is the rule now, it’s a middle, raging one, deep howling from the throat of Death, this usually isn’t my style but I exceptionally enjoyed this very much because of its intensity & great feelings/atmospheres, an excellent MCD indeed! HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL (POR) "GONORREIA VISCERAL" MCD 2000. Brutal heavy Death/Grind in the vein of INTERNAL BLEEDING & SUFFOCATION! Well done, this was a real good surprise, fans of the two aforementionned bands should appreciate this Portuguese one too as they manage to brutalize equal with genius skills and other essential things to make it really enjoyable, some good intros, truly brutal guttural voice, tight drummings, shredding guitars & pounding bass... Why should I be waiting for something more? All what I need to make a good review is here, BUY OR DIE!
HORDE OF WORMS (Can) "Wormageddon" MCD 2000 BLOODBUCKET. Drum machine-gun for this Extreme Death/Black release, catchy & unrelenting the way I like it, old-school sound and a bit playing in the Angelcorpse/Belphegor styles, good materials, these four tracks are intense & full-on with massive destructive feelings, too bad the drum-machine sometimes abused the blast-beats but that's that's the only minor detail I can complain about, get your ears on this one!
HUMAN WASTE (GER) "Loved, teased, pleased" MCD 2001. Allons-bon, y'avait les Espagnolais, maintenant c'est au tour des Germanois! Sorry, I'm speaking in tongues…! Don't get confused with the Spanish band who released a CD few years back on a Japanese label. This one's very original and twisted, heavy as Hell & skilled as fuck, sometimes very Morbid Angel & old Loudblast influenced…All in all a real morbid Death Metal band with filthy raw sound, I like it 'cos it's very obscure & heavy! Some will find the sound average…but they don't know what is good!!! This is a real good surprise, very original band, haunting as Hell like first Incantation album but different, it's bewitching my soul…I can't explain it, you'd better have to check this one out & make your own opinion! Damn, a cover of almighty filthy Death Metal godz AUTOPSY's "Destined To Fester" finish the CD with total doomingness & darkness, great gift for my old-school ears, HUMAN WASTE rules!! GERBE OF LIFE (FRA) Promo CD-R 2000. Ok, this is in the vein of their influences: NAPALM DEATH, TERRORIZER, DISRUPT but with french lyrics. This is well done but gives absolutely nothing new as they completely copied (cloned?) these bands without bringing something their own and the social texts bored me to death… This CD-R includes html files that looks like a website and you can watch it even if you're not connected to internet like me. Good production & entertaining for those who like this kind of music, unfortunately not my case but this is well done with a good quality sound. I was a little bit interested by their first CD, I had detected great insanes & Evil vibes in their rawer than raw Black/Noise, this one's even better, still shredding sound & noisy, doomy grind as the coals of Hell, they also improved as musicians, it's going somewhere & saturates the flesh of the holy spirit by demented vibrations & atmospheres, fuckin' noisy & blasphemous!! I won't say that I'm a huge fan of this band but they sometimes recall the old VENOM spirit-sound into their rancid tunes of distorted amputations, horrible & cacophonous Black, Doomy raw Metal from the real underground like you've never heard before! I don't like those high vocals as always, they should keep up with the growler only because he has a good guttural death grunt, that's just my opinion anyway. Otherwise, it's heavy, fast & brutal like if Macabre were more extreme & less funny. If you worship american bands for their brutality & musicianship, so there is no reason for you to do not like this English perversion full of zombiefucking artworks! Old CRYPTOPSY alike with some old CARCASS, MACABRE & DEHUMANIZED + old & new CANNIBAL CORPSE = GOREROTTED! It is incoherent to see that Desecration got censored and GOREROTTED didn't even with more offensive music & artworks as such! Another great reason to support the real extreme: BUY OR DIE!! Due to the real short playing time, I felt obliged transfering it to the MCD section but the band offers here greater extremes (within their obvious DEEDS OF FLESH similarities) than many other bands around in the fast & Brutal Death Metal kind, they offer great variations & skilful abilities with also a certain SUFFOCATION/CRYPTOPSY/old KATAKLYSM/old DEICIDE & DYING FETUS influences, yes: they crush, pound, kill & brutalize to the point of "Bleeding Profusely", they're at the top of that new generation of Extreme Death Metalizations. Other well-selling known magazines will certainly categorize them in the Death/Grind styles, fuck 'em all, this IS Death Metal of high caliber: heavy, fast, technical & brutal as Hell with a penchant for some killer twisted melodies like the unbelievable number of Canadian bands performed these last years and hopefully will continue some more years again!! As an evidence, this deserves a BUY OR DIE!! Profusely! By the way, shame on them as they never answered to my interview, fuckers!

FLESHART (GRE) MCD-R Promo 2001. I got this accidentally from the band as the letter seemed not to be destined to me... $25 were enclosed & a request for Sintury & Waco Jesus CDs, also as far as I know, my name isn't Seb'... and I don't run a distro anymore! Fortunately, I believe that was Seb' of Ossuaire Distro! I could have rip them off but the music isn't bad at all, in fact it's maybe the best recorded thing I have heard from Greece (from Greece only!). Low tuned & basic guttural NY Death Metal style with a good raw sound and the musicians seemed to have rehearse enough before recording which is a good thing! MORTICIAN-alike stuff with slow moments in the vein of old CANNIBAL CORPSE. That was well done and shows that the band is to be taken for serious, let's hope it will evolve more into something of its own and improve the musicianship to something more challenging/complex and less predictable... FLESHTIZED is definitely awesome & pure raging skilled Death Metal, just they could have added some more leads to enhance their style to perfection, (I had to wait track 3 for that!) ha, maybe I'm too much exigent with Death Metal nowadays? It's never too much for me, I always want more & more! If you love DIABOLIC stuff, you will worship FLESHTIZED as they're a little more technical and brutal! EARTHTONE9 (UK) "HI-POINT" MCD 2000 COPRO. This stuff definitely doesn't interest me at all! This is just like the other releases on this label: alternative grunge hardcore etc... This boring clone shit is of no interest to me, too much commercial & repetitive, soft, clean metal sounding, 18mn worth of fucking trends! Avoid it like the plague.
EDICIUS (FRA) "AEON" MCD 2001 DEADSUN. Definitely Deadsun is undoubtedly a cool label & mailorder but what the Hell signing such a band????????? It has something good to offer: sort of fast Black/Grind like old BLASPHEMY & norvegian black with too much intros and a drum machine?! Not sure of that but the sound is very good and sometimes the band goes fast & destroys a lot but the compositions go nowhere to me, it has no coherent nor convincing structures as they rip-off all the riffs from other bands. The CD only lasts 28mn so I consider this as a MCD. Maybe that's too much original for me but let me tell you that if you drop all the intros, there is not so much music remaining finally, maybe 15mn…a steal!

Cool new brutal band that resemble to old KRABATHOR, heavy, blasting powerful with some melodic injections, heinous vocals like old CARCASS and very varied structures ranging from old-school & classic Thrash & Death to more original tunes/arrangements in the CARCASS' "Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious" vein. Very good band not playing in the last trend and definitely worth some attentions especially from the CARCASS addicts!
ENTHRALLMENT (Bulgaria) "Burning fields" MCD 2000 BUTCHERY Music. Brutal & heavy Death Metal, quite classic & basic but efficient, reminds me of the first MONSTROSITY "Imperial Doom" album sometimes but with groovy rhythms & low vocals, strange mixture indeed but this blasts and is good to hear these days, also CANNIBAL CORPSE influenced sometimes. And to conclude, they bring some sombre feelings to their music, quite good & recommended!

Ah, good Death Metal band here, the vocals remind me of old Suffocation, the music is also good and very classic, that's Death Metal no problem, heavy with many changes in structures, so not that predictable and non-linear which is a good thing. Some brief solos as well, their sound reminds me of old Gorefest's "Mindloss" but also old Deicide & Asphyx, just they play it in their own brutal way. Not to forget the presence of some dark feelings & insanes variations. This steers clear out of the boring mosh trends and offers something new in the real Extreme Death/Grind Metal scene. The only thing I dislike is that shitty hardcore song and the vocals in the last track, it really has nothing to do with the band's serious own ass-kicking style...! Regardless of that bullshit, the band deserves to be heard by all extreme Metal fans for sure. EDICIUS (FRA) "AEON" MCD 2001 DEADSUN. Definitely Deadsun is undoubtedly a cool label & mailorder but what the Hell signing such a band????????? It has something good to offer: sort of fast Black/Grind like old BLASPHEMY & norvegian black with too much intros and a drum machine?! Not sure of that but the sound is very good and sometimes the band goes fast & destroys a lot but the compositions go nowhere to me, it has no coherent nor convincing structures as they rip-off all the riffs from other bands. The CD only lasts 28mn so I consider this as a MCD. Maybe that's too much original for me but let me tell you that if you drop all the intros, there is not so much music remaining finally, maybe 15mn…a steal!

DARK RISE (SWITZ) "SLAVES OF DEATH" MCD 2000 Self-prod. Here comes a new young band that was born for little more than two years now and they just got here their first self-financed "album", well 6 tracks for 17mn can't be taken for an album, I'm sorry! The cover artwork is damn Evil & brutal and the music isn't really what I could expect; melodic catchy Death Metal that sounds like most of the old french bands when this style was very popular here. It has an Incantation, old Loudblast & old Kataklysm vibes but it's mostly melodic Dark/Death Metal with an heavy raw sound, it's definitely very original and refreshing while at the same time not achieved yet, they sure can do things even better and that is what they promise in their bio: to evolve & work more on the extremes with faster tunes alternating with slower moments in the future. DEAMON (CAN) "End Of Ages" MCD 99 MISPLACED. Brutal stuff here, truly heavy! Like if old GORGUTS were mixed with old KATAKLYSM, yes old-school and Extreme Death Metal, thrashing like a fiery breath from the gates of Hell, like coming from early nineties and reminding especially a certain album called "Imperial Doom"... This is the heaviness I was looking for, so excellent true Death Metal never dies: BUY OR DIE!!!
DECLINE (FRA) MCD-R Promo 2000 Self-prod. Twisted Metal band with influences from Indus & newer (modern) Thrash with Death Metal vocals, some fast technical & melodic riffing but the sound is too fucking weak to restitute their energy properly, I suppose they recorded it Live, there are many mistakes, it's untight & boring. The compositions are original but I stayed untouched by this cold & weird mixture, I think it's too modern Metal influenced for my own taste, too much mechanical & crystal-clear for being considered as Death Metal. With a better sound and mixing, things could be a lot more different in my opinion. I don't dig this as it also contains too much of those typical french Thrashy predictable riffs, this makes them sounding too clean and empty in some places. They have to find their way and improve with musicianship, this is not convincing & poor. DEEP VEIN (FRA) "REIGN OF DECADENCE" MCD 2003 Self-prod. Impressive Demo, so impressive that I've put it into the MCD section as you might see! Fast & killer Death Metal that shreds intensely! I wasn't enthusiast when seeing them Live due to the poor guitars sound and the vocals were drowned behind the snare drums but I was amazed by the drummer and now I can say that DEEP VEIN fuckin' rules! Thanx to the guitarist for giving it to me at the Grindzor Fest II. This must be heard and no doubts that with a better sound Live, they could have sell more Demos! Vicious riffs and devilish vocals along with skilled drumming makes a successful Demo, old-school is the game here and they were with Ill Divine the two best bands that night! Again the proof that France is awakening strongly to a massive wave of unholy brutality! DEEP VEIN reminds me of Innerfeuds but faster & more brutal: BUY OR DIE!!! Technical with a raw sound that let all instruments coming to my ears (even the bass is heard here!), this is real Extreme judging by the quickness of the riffs a la old SINISTER's "Cross The Styx" a classic! DEIVOS goes even faster, that's why I'm real impressed by their skilful abilities and you know what? They do leads as well, this rules!! Really quick & precise performance, twisted as the gates of Hell, if you liked old SINISTER this band goes a step ahead in their own supra-technical arrangements & billions of breaks… BUY OR DIE!!!!! Quite good release, this is a skilled effort and definitely left me begging for more: BUY OR DIE!

DESTROYING DIVINITY (CZECH) "Created" MCD 2001 Selfprod. This starts very brutal, you know Brutal Death with plenty of emotions, apocalyptic and intense like NILE and NECRONOMICON, MITHRAS! That's what I call an Extreme Death Metal band with something Evil and uncommon, pouring solos here and there making the ground turning red… Grandioses arrangements a la DIABOLIC/IMMORTAL makes this an utter darkened abomination, something the true fans will worship for years & years! The sound is quite good, it resembles to IMMOLATION at some points with some old CARCASS grindness and pre-Amorphis ambiences… It's sure very original & emotional, making the adrenalin flow all over your body parts! DIRA MORTIS (POL) "ARCHITECTURE OF MIND" MCD 2003 HORROR. In the vein of Deranged for the guitar sound but also in the Incantation vein for the vocals and some obscure moods (I like the intro), they blast intensely, this is once again a new Polish force to be reckon with. Death Metal bands not following the trendy american shit are welcome here, DIRA MORTIS is definitely a new powerful band creating a dark force like in the old Asphyx reign or also having the Necronomicon's "The Silver Key" Demo similarity in some crushing places. The three members are looking quite young and their music is very promising, I'm looking forward to hear this band in the future. I have seen maybe 6 bands with the same name in the last ten years and 3 are still going today, hard to avoid confusions!! This one's a total MORTICIAN clone, same sound, same basic riffs, drum machine, intros from movies that have been used & abused by many other bands... Nothing innovative from them, the only difference with MORTICIAN is the pitched vocals like early Carcass, Last Days Of Humanity... I won't recommend this except if you're a freak of Grind styles. But warning: many distros sells this at a full-length price and it's just a MCD with 11 tracks for 15mn, be aware of this!! Don't buy it, get in touch with tape-traders before! DISLIKE (FRA) MCD-R 2000 Self-prod. Death Metal from my area, quite cool to hear!! It sounds real brutal but yet needs to mature & develop, as for a second Demo, this could be more achieved in my opinion but that's alright, the sound is good on it. The voice is strong guttural and they go fast, they're tighter than many other french bands I know and the mistakes are pretty rares, they also include some melodic passages & other cool arrangements, while this sounds pretty classic and not so much original, this is a good start anyway, I can only wish them to get better & even more brutal of course! DYING FETUS (USA) "GROTESQUE IMPALEMENT" MCD 2000 BLUNT FORCE. A "new" release by FETUS that in fact consists of 2 old Demo tracks, 3 cover tunes of: Baphomet, Next Step Up & Grim Reaper (which is Heavy Metal!) + a funny, mocking title track. Tight brutality is what this band stands for but are they superstars enough to do not offer anything real new to the fans? This is a fun release to me and I'm not going to buy this one, I would prefer to wait for the next 100% new release for sure.

DIRA MORTIS (POL) "ARCHITECTURE OF MIND" MCD 2003 HORROR. In the vein of Deranged for the guitar sound but also in the Incantation vein for the vocals and some obscure moods (I like the intro), they blast intensely, this is once again a new Polish force to be reckon with. Death Metal bands not following the trendy american shit are welcome here, DIRA MORTIS is definitely a new powerful band creating a dark force like in the old Asphyx reign or also having the Necronomicon's "The Silver Key" Demo similarity in some crushing places. The three members are looking quite young and their music is very promising, I'm looking forward to hear this band in the future. The band performs a powerful Brutal Death Metal with very morbid & obscure feelings like old SUFFOCATION just a little less technical and without leads but their production fucking rules! Only three tracks but damn well arranged and structured, similar to the old SUFFOCATION materials but different! It's cool to hear a band that doesn't copy and trying to reach the Extreme Death Metal status in non-trendy ways! DISFIGUREMENT (RUS) "CORPORAL SADOPHILIA" MCD-R 99 Self-prod. Damn this band reminds me Australia's NEUROPATH, same guttural voice & same Brutal heavy blasting Death approach but without "real" solos! 6 tracks for 28mn, longer than some official albums! Photo-copied cover art showing some great attached creatures the japanese bondage way. Their style of music isn't fast but it's morbid and fuckin' heavy pounding mid-paced savagery, old-school and good raw sound like some old US bands such as BAPHOMET or JUNGLE ROT. DISGORGE (HOL) "GORGE THIS" MCD 2001 SO IT IS DONE. What's that new DISGORGE again??? I have seen maybe 6 bands with the same name in the last ten years and 3 are still going today, hard to avoid confusions!! This one's a total MORTICIAN clone, same sound, same basic riffs, drum machine, intros from movies that have been used & abused by many other bands... Nothing innovative from them, the only difference with MORTICIAN is the pitched vocals like early Carcass, Last Days Of Humanity... I won't recommend this except if you're a freak of Grind styles. But warning: many distros sells this at a full-length price and it's just a MCD with 11 tracks for 15mn, be aware of this!! Don't buy it, get in touch with tape-traders before! DISLIKE (FRA) MCD-R 2000 Self-prod. Death Metal from my area, quite cool to hear!! It sounds real brutal but yet needs to mature & develop, as for a second Demo, this could be more achieved in my opinion but that's alright, the sound is good on it. The voice is strong guttural and they go fast, they're tighter than many other french bands I know and the mistakes are pretty rares, they also include some melodic passages & other cool arrangements, while this sounds pretty classic and not so much original, this is a good start anyway, I can only wish them to get better & even more brutal of course! DYING FETUS (USA) "GROTESQUE IMPALEMENT" MCD 2000 BLUNT FORCE. A "new" release by FETUS that in fact consists of 2 old Demo tracks, 3 cover tunes of: Baphomet, Next Step Up & Grim Reaper (which is Heavy Metal!) + a funny, mocking title track. Tight brutality is what this band stands for but are they superstars enough to do not offer anything real new to the fans? This is a fun release to me and I'm not going to buy this one, I would prefer to wait for the next 100% new release for sure.

CAPTIVUS DIABOLI (ITA) Promo MCD-R 99 Self-prod. Metal in the vein of newer DEATH but with more Heavy Metal melodies the swedish path and synths. That's well done but this is not the kind of stuff I'll give full support. Good musicianship but too much melodic & soft for my own taste. This is of no interest to me, maybe for you?

Brutal stuff in the Canadian Death/Grind vein, well played and convincing but lacked of real solid song structures, I mean they had good riffs & ideas but didn't exploit them to do something that crushes and most of the songs did go nowhere to me, but hey that's the Grind style anyway! Also too much tried to get an audible or clear sound, result is a weak guitar sound that hesitate to punish like if it was saying excuse me to disturb you…don't fuckin' hold back like that especially in this style!
CEREMONY (USA) "The days before the death" MCD 2000 HAMMERHEART. Consists of their Demo 92 re-released and that's a great idea, that time did bring many excellent "Tampa's style" Death/Thrash Metal bands that did really know how to write good songs that you will not soon forget! Best comparison would be DEATH, DISINCARNATE & GORGUTS to describe the CEREMONY's sound. The Demo contained some old SEPULTURA influences too such as clean guitars arrangements making it all fuckin' dark & unreal, not of this world, not of this time, not for trendy ears: BUY OR DIE!!!

CIRCLE OF THE DEAD CHILDREN (USA) MCD 99 WILLOWTIP. Another good blast from the states, this is original and brutal mixing. Fast Death/Grind, some slower, obscures arrangements and punishing riffs with guttural & screaming vocals, this really sounds great to me! Each song has its own depth and the whole is very original not sounding like your typical Death or Grind band, this offers more while at the same time left me waiting for something more... I like that Nokturnel similarity sometimes. This is a good mix of nearly everything that is Metal and not necessarily extreme, this is a good release.
CIRRHOSIS (FRA) "No blast's land" MCD-R 99. Completely in the brutal U.S. trend and they play it well, I must admit not being too enthusiast with this style anymore, but it's a lot better made than many bands by now and for a Demo it kicks some asses! Fans of Brodequin, Deeds Of Flesh, Devourment & Disgorge will get into this no problem, pas dégueu'!
CORPUS MORTALE (DK) "Succumb to the superior" MCD 2000 Selfprod. This is maybe one of the rare bands from Denmark who still plays Death Metal nowadays, so how's this new release, hmm? It's a good one, that's for sure, the vocals are great, very deep & obscure, the riffs are dark and the arrangements dwell into the nothingness with majesty… Some will say that there is a little old DEICIDE influence, I would answer yes but with some SEVERE TORTURE similarities! The band isn't mega-fast, they know how to mix Death Metal with doomingness & tormented leads that will tear your unholy soul apart, occasional blasts here & there… This is well varied & catchy as Hell, proof is that not all the bands are following the groovy Americans or death'n'roll trends, CORPUS MORTALE is another good example of a band with self-will, standing strong with their own convictions, BUY OR DIE!!
CRANIOTOMY (SLO) "...AND FROM FLESH TO BONE" MCD-R 2000. Brutal technical Death/Grind in the american style is definitely very popular worldwide nowadays and this band do perform it pretty well in the old INTERNAL BLEEDING/DYING FETUS veins. This is a good skilled band to look for, let's hope they will improve more to find their own style in the future... Anyway, I'm not disappointed at all, it's very well produced and offers quality tunes, not some lame crap, BUY OR DIE!
CROPMENT (SWI) "BRAINDRAIN TIMESLAVERY" MCD 2002 FASTBEAST. It's not common to hear bands coming from Switzerland, apart from DARK RISE also reviewed below, I haven't heard too much from this country since SAMAEL, ALASTIS & EQUIMANTHORN! This one's a brutal & well played Death Metal with a good production, a bit grinding here & there with a sound & vocals that recalls the old EXMORTIS Demo "Immortality's End". CROPMENT aren't as dark but delivers good quality with much varied song structures, this is a solid debut. The artwork is also damn cool to look at, well this is a promising Death/Grind band and "Braindrain Timeslavery" is just a foretaste for things to come. I can only recommend this to all underground fanatics as CROPMENT is no clone, this three-track MCD is a convincing 12mn demonstration of their own brutality. Doomy Death Metal in the old Asphyx feeling, that's what I thought about from the very first seconds, but soon I realized that the high vocals and the sound are two important weak points within this Demo, the music is good & faster but has no power due to the poor mixing and unaccomplished screaming vocals... It makes me think of a bad recorded version of DEMONIC CHRIST's "Punishment For Ignorance" but with better & more original musicianship. CRYPTIC REVELATION (JAP) "THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE" MCD 99 DEATHTORTION. Some of the guitar riffs in it remind me of VADER, the drums are fast nearly grind and their slow parts turned to burning Doom from Hell & as heavy as a nuclear cloud falling on our heads. Original band that keep pace & brutality on top of all these 5 long songs. They seem to be inspired by paranormal phenomenons as they did print some cases that happened in our own world and that remain for the most part unexplained... BALATONIZER (ITA) "OCCLUSED IN OTTUSITY" MCD 2003 DARK REIGN Judging by their self-made bio, I tend to think that the band is pretty much licking its own ass, thinking that they have invented their own style made me laugh intensely before listening to their music which is extremely similar to CHRIST DENIED from Spain. Same use of programmings, same vocals style and same americanized guitars & sound (DISGORGE, etc.), so to me that wasn't something real new nor exciting as they claimed... Well done & produced, sure, but it can't makes it all for me as I'm fed up with the american trends of so called brutal metal, plus they offer no lyrics which is something I can't stand. 32 tracks for 25mn21s in which only two have guitar solos, and most of the tracks have samples mixed through in, anyway, that's only the re-edition of their 2002 Demo (supposed to be sold up to 5000 copies...?!!) and I never heard of this band before they sent in this release in 2005... Quite suspicious... BEHEADED (MALTA) "RESURGENCE OF OBLIVION" MCD 2000 MIGHTY. Brutal as fuck!!! They return even more twisted and heavier like the most vile of the American bands such as DISGORGE, DEEDS OF FLESH or SUFFOCATION, hyper brutal & fast blasting Brutal Death Fuckin' Metal!!! The production is a must, the drums and the whole MCD reminds me of Indonesian BLOODY GORE and DERANGED due to the inhuman vocals, hyper-technical stuff of rare high quality!! It is so unbelievable that it must be heard! No one may be disappointed by this new release which redefines the word "brutality" and blows away their previous album (which was already damn great!). You can't miss this masterpiece, BUY OR DIE!!
BLOODBATH (SWE) "BREEDING DEATH" MCD 99 CENTURY MEDIA. Is Dan Swanö Superman? Yes, he now performs drums in this new band's release which is old-school & Dark Death Metal sounding, very similar to VOMITORY and it has a good production of course. This contains nothing exceptional and is very classic Death Metal with this ancient feeling, not an essential nor fast release but it is good for remembering how mid-paced Death/Dark Metal sounded alike few years ago.
BLOODCUM (HOL) "Arsestabbers" MCD 2001 Self-prod. Brutal americanized death metal like a thousand bands do by now, to the point of becoming a real trend, this band can also be technical & fast but this release contains too much mistakes and also can be interesting for some seconds sometimes. Untight at times and having good arrangements on the other hand, this is not the typical dyingfetusdisgorgedevourment clone and stands above the average with this release, probably a Demo, I'll keep an ear opened on BLOODCUM for the future.
BLOODSHED (FRA) "WARPED IN THE MACABRE" MCD 2003 SNAKEBITE. BLOODSHED arises after two Demos that were not real bad nor good, with an awesome MCD that crushes all what they have done before! I'm a lot more enthusiast at listening to this new effort for sure! Imagine a killer Brutal Death assault combining the brutality of DISGORGE (USA) & CANNIBAL CORPSE, that's what BLOODSHED made me think about, it's vicious, suppurating & gorefully twisted, fast & intense in other words a winner! No other bands in France had achieve such a brutal style, some of course tried but failed, BLOODSHED seems to be the first to succeed perfectly, everyone knows how a fuckin' exigent bastard I am about this style, this simply re-animate the blood of Zombeast inside of me, no other words exist to exactly explain what it's all about than a huge fuckin' BUY OR DIE! I'm sure with a good sound they can go somewhere, the 3 tracks seem not to be taken from the same recording session, the mix differs from song to song and the riffs are just taken from other bands in my opinion being placed end to end and just played like a good student having learn his lesson… Boring! BLOODY GORE (INDO) "STENCH OF YOUR PERVERSIONS" MCD 2001 FETAL TAMPON DISEASE. Their fucking brutal as fuck Demo now re-issued on CD!!!! That's what I call a great idea, they're probably the most insane band from Indonesia (whilst there's also a million others over there!) and they truly deserve to appear on CD, 1/4 hour of technical pounding brutal & guttural Death/Grind in the vein of the two most known Disgorge bands. The production is a must and has sometimes Suffocation & Fermento similarities. If you rejoice in absolute barbarity, I highly recommend you to check out BLOODY GORE, it's just a Demo and showing the Hell of professionalism, just a foretaste for things to come, I can't wait to hear more from them, looking forward to the next release as my impatience grows insane day by day... This is their new MCD and a good one, pretty much into the Brutal Death Metal style rather than Black as they seemed to categorize themselves as a Death/Black band. Well, to say it all, they're good musicians with good raw sound and they know how to combine fast to mid to slow arrangements and finally yes, some darker moments are engulfed within their tunes, so I agree with their own "deathcryption"! The sound is good and the style is potent Death Metal but there are too many mistakes and predictable riffing for me, plus the logo is crap. They sound brutal and convincing with solos but it would be better to wait for the next release in my opinion not because they suck but because they're better than many other so called "brutal" french bands I know, this one isn't funny and is going somewhere, this is a good debut if compared with other debut releases from french bands. BRAINCHOKE (UK) "Migraine music" MCD 2000 M.T.B.C. Puissant! This is not what I'm used to hear from the UK, the sound is heavy and the music fast old-school Grind/Death, predictable arrangements but efficient anyway, that's not so bad and sounds promising but yet has to mature again as they really had some boring arrangements. Freaks of Grind/Death tunes might welcome this new band, others will just go for something else.
BRUTE CHANT (Latvia) "Defect god" MCD 99 Self-prod. Good production, modern styled Death Metal, very powerful but uses too much of those FEAR FACTORY, newer NAPALM DEATH, VIBRION, newer IMMOLATION, newer GORGUTS riffing. That's original ok but I don't really like it because it's just returning to Thrash to me, just trying to do twisted catchy riffs, ok it's dark and that's the good point, bad point is that it's somewhat turning to jazz metal... Very tuned like their 2nd & 3rd albums, also very similar by the riffs and blasting energy, vocals are more like in "The Bleeding" guttural & screaming, the band is really great and the production is damn good, unoriginal & classic brutal Death Metal and I like it very much: BUY OR DIE!!!
BEHEADED (MALTA) "RESURGENCE OF OBLIVION" MCD 2000 MIGHTY. Brutal as fuck!!! They return even more twisted and heavier like the most vile of the American bands such as DISGORGE, DEEDS OF FLESH or SUFFOCATION, hyper brutal & fast blasting Brutal Death Fuckin' Metal!!! The production is a must, the drums and the whole MCD reminds me of Indonesian BLOODY GORE and DERANGED due to the inhuman vocals, hyper-technical stuff of rare high quality!! It is so unbelievable that it must be heard! No one may be disappointed by this new release which redefines the word "brutality" and blows away their previous album (which was already damn great!). You can't miss this masterpiece, BUY OR DIE!!
BLOODBATH (SWE) "BREEDING DEATH" MCD 99 CENTURY MEDIA. Is Dan Swanö Superman? Yes, he now performs drums in this new band's release which is old-school & Dark Death Metal sounding, very similar to VOMITORY and it has a good production of course. This contains nothing exceptional and is very classic Death Metal with this ancient feeling, not an essential nor fast release but it is good for remembering how mid-paced Death/Dark Metal sounded alike few years ago.
BLOODCUM (HOL) "Arsestabbers" MCD 2001 Self-prod. Brutal americanized death metal like a thousand bands do by now, to the point of becoming a real trend, this band can also be technical & fast but this release contains too much mistakes and also can be interesting for some seconds sometimes. Untight at times and having good arrangements on the other hand, this is not the typical dyingfetusdisgorgedevourment clone and stands above the average with this release, probably a Demo, I'll keep an ear opened on BLOODCUM for the future.

The sound is just average but they go fast & tight. I'm sure with a good sound they can go somewhere, the 3 tracks seem not to be taken from the same recording session, the mix differs from song to song and the riffs are just taken from other bands in my opinion being placed end to end and just played like a good student having learn his lesson… Boring! That's what I call a great idea, they're probably the most insane band from Indonesia (whilst there's also a million others over there!) and they truly deserve to appear on CD, 1/4 hour of technical pounding brutal & guttural Death/Grind in the vein of the two most known Disgorge bands. The production is a must and has sometimes Suffocation & Fermento similarities. 9th PLAGUE (SWE) "SPREADING THE SATANIC GOSPEL" MCD-R 2002. Great to hear that kind of old-school Dark/Death Metal, some (many!) of the riffs are comparables to those of BELPHEGOR but of course, it's just a similar way of playing because the band delivers something of their own all along the 4 tracks/12mn39s of this unholy recording! The production is great, a morbid heavy sound has been well scrapped, this means that it sounds real professional in every aspects: all instruments & the voice relate to each other superbly, so that a coherent headbanging emanates at the first listening from the darkened twisted catchiness, I think they are with KAAMOS the most exciting bands ever to emerge from Sweden in the last 3-4 years, proof is that I'm giving them a good review! I love the fact that this band doesn't sounds like many others and prefers the obscure side of the underground Metal music, ...fuck! The Demo is already finished, I want more! Three newer tracks slightly different than the first Demo which was a little less extreme and more old-school rooted than this new effort, now having more old Morbid Angel into their Evil Death Metal vibes. Also reminds me of Hate Eternal at times, certainly due to the vocals and the twisted morbidangelistic riffs. I personally found their first Demo more original and darker with a better sound, but who cares of my opinion nowadays? ACT OF GODS (FRA) "DIES IRAE" MCD-R 2002. Ah, a new french Death Metal band saw the light of days from ex-members of ABYSSALS & MUTILATED, its name is ACT OF GODS and musically, I found this very similar to DERANGED but maybe more technical, fine & precise, it has been recorded at Lb Lab studios, so it sounds a little like GURKKHAS production-wise, anyway the result is a killer 4-tracks MCD of raging & blasting Death Metal that is now released officially. I can say that a newer CANNIBAL CORPSE influence is undeniable too! So if over the top skilled brutal Death Metal is what you crave, look no further as ACT OF GODS is sure to please a majority of the Death Metal purists worldwide! The rage emerging from their blasting tunes can be the highlight of this Demo, not for the weak, BUY OR DIE!!! AETERNUS (NOR) "DARK SORCERY" MCD 95 VIEW BEYOND. (Golden CD Limited to 300!) Seems to be a collector by now, this is not your common "Black Metal" band as many said, they're heavier than their peers while also very atmospheric but the main difference dwells in the vocals, very heavy and haunting, dark like some crushing Doom bands from Hell. In fact it's Atmospheric Doom/Black with some Death Metal heaviness a la Bolt Thrower. Soulful emotions rise from this band that has now some albums out, this is a cool view to their past, if you can find it: BUY OR DIE!

A good band, everything is very professionally released by themselves. Many of the skilled melodies aren't easy to play but they all are catchy and all the 4 songs are different from each other, they don't have the same structures and aren't boring nor linear, so this makes this band quite interesting. ANTROPOFAGUS (ITA) "Alive is good...dead is better" MCD 2001 BEYOND. Killer Brutal Death Metal band! Amazing from start to finish, it's technical, fast & guttural, unrelenting & punishing, blasting ferocious and catchy with a fuckin' drum-war-machine…! I usually don't like computer drummings but I found this very entertaining, don't know why, that is certainly well played & done with some original ideas here & there. I won't buy it for sure but it's cool & fun to listen to!
APHOTIC (USA) MCD 2000 Self-prod. High quality & very professional, 5-tracks MCD with original packaging that caught my eyes & interest. First I was thinking of a Doom band but that's not the kind of Doom I thought about... The sound is heavy as Hell and their style consists of basic riffs quite similar to old SAMAEL's "Blood Ritual" & "Ceremony Of Opposites" but more atmospheric & gothic, a bit similar to DUSK sometimes too but with a lot more of keyboards. The music is very simple and includes a lot of atmospheric arrangements & effects. This is absolutely not for Brutal fans, I'm actually not too fond of this because of the chanting vocals but I like the overall heavy atmosphere even if sometimes obvious disgusting trends influences are heard... Something original but not too much in fact, they simply include non-metal instruments & arrangements to their easy riffs, is this really original? Tracks 1-2 & 5 were good to me. ATROPHY (FRA) Demo CD-R 2002. It was hard to put an ear onto this first Demo, not that the band didn't want to spread it but because they sent me by mistake another CD instead that was meant to be a CD-click for their drummer's practice! So, finally here after some days and emails spread: 5 tracks of skilled Brutal Death with a technical edge, very much american influenced but no copycat, just seemed to be very early-Suffocation and Deeds Of Flesh influenced sometimes. I like the raw sound on this recording and the fact that they play tighter than other french bands I know, also of course because their music is damn interesting and made intelligently with really twisted practiced riffs, in other words very well thought-out structures and keeping it all as morbid as possible. They sure spent very much time at practicing to achieve such a brutal recording: deep & low understandables vocals consumed by vicious riffs and beaten alive by technical drumming, this is a damn recommended mixture that will please all of the Brutal and Obscure Death Metal fans everywhere, BUY OR DIE!
ATROPHY (FRA) "DEDALES" Demo CD-R 2004. After experiencing 4 tracks from this Demo on Obscure Infinity comp tape, I decided to call the band because I wanted the whole Demo, here it is with one more track that didn't feature on the comp. The reason why I got attracted by this band is because of their enormous skills and original, technically tight Death Metal music, I was blown away at first listening! They have gone a step ahead in skilful abilities from their first effort which was damn promising! First surprise is that their lyrics are all in french which you can't notice at just listening to the Demo but when reading texts at the same time, everything suddenly takes senses and I entered more their very own vision. Musically a mix of some old Atheist and Death sometimes extended to the brutal level of Cryptopsy or Suffocation, very twisted songwriting, almost jazzy solos and guttural low but understandables vocals similar to Vehemens (another great underground french Death Metal band). All in all ATROPHY makes me think of the first PAVOR album and the band showed here with five tracks that you can keep up with Extreme Metal while being very technical at the same time, emh..., is NECROPHAGIST a cool band for you? AUTOMATION (AUSTRALIA) "MY GUTTER CHILD" MCD 99 ORACLE. Some potent Metal tunes here, sounds old-school and a little melodic with atmosphere, well they damn remind me of an European band but who the fuck is it? Oh, that was only sort of an "intro", the band then is more violent & powerful with cruel savage vocals, pure Death Metal from Australia! Heavy and unrelenting, they benefit of an extremely good and professional production. They also got a Thrash influence for that they remind me of MALEVOLENT CREATION's "Eternal/In Cold Blood" just a little slower but it's the same powerful Metal spirit that surrounds this release! 2nd & 3rd tracks are definitely Thrash with a melodic Death vibe performed with passion & feelings a little like MISERY. That's definitely a band who knows how to write quality song structures. The 4th track starts like a Morbid Angel song with fast thrashing riffs, it's also the shortest song they have in this MCD, others lasting all more than 5mn. ACHERON (USA) "Xomaly" MCD 2002 Warlord. Always making the same satanic & dooming Death Metal stuffs with synths for more than 20 years now, who will complain about it? Not me! First track is the intro, the rest is typical ACHERONic feelings, Hail Satan, & BUY OR DIE!!!
ACT OF GODS (FRA) "DIES IRAE" MCD-R 2002. Ah, a new french Death Metal band saw the light of days from ex-members of ABYSSALS & MUTILATED, its name is ACT OF GODS and musically, I found this very similar to DERANGED but maybe more technical, fine & precise, it has been recorded at Lb Lab studios, so it sounds a little like GURKKHAS production-wise, anyway the result is a killer 4-tracks MCD of raging & blasting Death Metal that is now released officially. I can say that a newer CANNIBAL CORPSE influence is undeniable too! So if over the top skilled brutal Death Metal is what you crave, look no further as ACT OF GODS is sure to please a majority of the Death Metal purists worldwide! The rage emerging from their blasting tunes can be the highlight of this Demo, not for the weak, BUY OR DIE!!! ADNAUSEAM (USA) "LIVES OF LIES, DESPISE AND DEMISE" MCD 98 INDEPENDENT SICKNESS. This being their second "album", they turned to Grindcore and left me unsatisfied: 12 tracks with intros for 25mn47s which can be considered as a MCD due to the poor amount of music… Really disappointed from start to finish, I'd rather prefer listening to their Demo & first real album, avoid this one! AETERNUS (NOR) "DARK SORCERY" MCD 95 VIEW BEYOND. (Golden CD Limited to 300!) Seems to be a collector by now, this is not your common "Black Metal" band as many said, they're heavier than their peers while also very atmospheric but the main difference dwells in the vocals, very heavy and haunting, dark like some crushing Doom bands from Hell. In fact it's Atmospheric Doom/Black with some Death Metal heaviness a la Bolt Thrower. Soulful emotions rise from this band that has now some albums out, this is a cool view to their past, if you can find it: BUY OR DIE!

ANARAZEL (AUSTRALIA) "RISE OF THE TEMPEST" MCD 99 Self-prod. Extreme, fast & melodic Black Metal that is way similar to DISSECTION. A good band, everything is very professionally released by themselves. Many of the skilled melodies aren't easy to play but they all are catchy and all the 4 songs are different from each other, they don't have the same structures and aren't boring nor linear, so this makes this band quite interesting. ANTROPOFAGUS (ITA) "Alive is good...dead is better" MCD 2001 BEYOND. Killer Brutal Death Metal band! Amazing from start to finish, it's technical, fast & guttural, unrelenting & punishing, blasting ferocious and catchy with a fuckin' drum-war-machine…! I usually don't like computer drummings but I found this very entertaining, don't know why, that is certainly well played & done with some original ideas here & there. I won't buy it for sure but it's cool & fun to listen to!
APHOTIC (USA) MCD 2000 Self-prod. High quality & very professional, 5-tracks MCD with original packaging that caught my eyes & interest. First I was thinking of a Doom band but that's not the kind of Doom I thought about... The sound is heavy as Hell and their style consists of basic riffs quite similar to old SAMAEL's "Blood Ritual" & "Ceremony Of Opposites" but more atmospheric & gothic, a bit similar to DUSK sometimes too but with a lot more of keyboards. The music is very simple and includes a lot of atmospheric arrangements & effects. This is absolutely not for Brutal fans, I'm actually not too fond of this because of the chanting vocals but I like the overall heavy atmosphere even if sometimes obvious disgusting trends influences are heard... Something original but not too much in fact, they simply include non-metal instruments & arrangements to their easy riffs, is this really original? Tracks 1-2 & 5 were good to me. ARMOURED ANGEL (AUSTRALIA) "MYSTERIUM" MCD 94 I.D. Very old-school Death Metal, thrashing and haunting like old BOLT THROWER, steamroller Death Metal of Death!! The production is heavy as Hell and the atmosphere induced fuckin' inspiring. That's total Death, completely morbid & insane, unfashionable! I don't know if the band's still going in this world but if they are, I'll certainly try to check anything else recorded by them, it's so good! For the true Death Metal fans only, BUY OR DIE!! ATROPHY (FRA) Demo CD-R 2002. It was hard to put an ear onto this first Demo, not that the band didn't want to spread it but because they sent me by mistake another CD instead that was meant to be a CD-click for their drummer's practice! So, finally here after some days and emails spread: 5 tracks of skilled Brutal Death with a technical edge, very much american influenced but no copycat, just seemed to be very early-Suffocation and Deeds Of Flesh influenced sometimes. I like the raw sound on this recording and the fact that they play tighter than other french bands I know, also of course because their music is damn interesting and made intelligently with really twisted practiced riffs, in other words very well thought-out structures and keeping it all as morbid as possible. They sure spent very much time at practicing to achieve such a brutal recording: deep & low understandables vocals consumed by vicious riffs and beaten alive by technical drumming, this is a damn recommended mixture that will please all of the Brutal and Obscure Death Metal fans everywhere, BUY OR DIE!
ATROPHY (FRA) "DEDALES" Demo CD-R 2004. After experiencing 4 tracks from this Demo on Obscure Infinity comp tape, I decided to call the band because I wanted the whole Demo, here it is with one more track that didn't feature on the comp. The reason why I got attracted by this band is because of their enormous skills and original, technically tight Death Metal music, I was blown away at first listening! They have gone a step ahead in skilful abilities from their first effort which was damn promising! First surprise is that their lyrics are all in french which you can't notice at just listening to the Demo but when reading texts at the same time, everything suddenly takes senses and I entered more their very own vision. Musically a mix of some old Atheist and Death sometimes extended to the brutal level of Cryptopsy or Suffocation, very twisted songwriting, almost jazzy solos and guttural low but understandables vocals similar to Vehemens (another great underground french Death Metal band). All in all ATROPHY makes me think of the first PAVOR album and the band showed here with five tracks that you can keep up with Extreme Metal while being very technical at the same time, emh..., is NECROPHAGIST a cool band for you? AUTOMATION (AUSTRALIA) "MY GUTTER CHILD" MCD 99 ORACLE. Some potent Metal tunes here, sounds old-school and a little melodic with atmosphere, well they damn remind me of an European band but who the fuck is it? Oh, that was only sort of an "intro", the band then is more violent & powerful with cruel savage vocals, pure Death Metal from Australia! Heavy and unrelenting, they benefit of an extremely good and professional production. They also got a Thrash influence for that they remind me of MALEVOLENT CREATION's "Eternal/In Cold Blood" just a little slower but it's the same powerful Metal spirit that surrounds this release! 2nd & 3rd tracks are definitely Thrash with a melodic Death vibe performed with passion & feelings a little like MISERY. That's definitely a band who knows how to write quality song structures. The 4th track starts like a Morbid Angel song with fast thrashing riffs, it's also the shortest song they have in this MCD, others lasting all more than 5mn. Finally the 5th & last track combines all these mid-paced Thrash, Death & melodic aspects with unholy accelerations while they maintain an above average technical aspect, they definitely convinced me completely: Death Metal the original Australian style, BUY OR DIE! ZUBROWSKA (FRA) "ONE ON SIX" CD 2003 XTREEM. Quite strange that I never heard of this french band before, they're very original and powerful Extreme Metal, not too much hardcore and not Death nor Black Metal, this is a successful mix of a little of everything that is Metal! Of course this appeals to the modern days fans, old-school people will find it reluctant but I appreciate it for what it is, I won't listen to it everyday but I can recommend it to all those who like this modern Metal, this is also very original, no copycat trends here! They're furious and knows how to pulverize the new comers: technical to the bones and better than the dyingfetusmiseryindextrendyshit!! ZYKLON (NOR) "WORLD OF WORMS" CD 2001 CANDLELIGHT. Super-powerful Black Metal, more raging than IMMORTAL's "Battles In The North" and heavier than MESSE NOIR with something like a Death Metal vengeance in the vein of MORBID ANGEL! Same feelings as these three bands are engulfed in "World Of Worms" real good to hear, it fucking strikes right in my vortex and blasts upon my skull at the speed of light with those rolling drums like that MYRKSKOG's infernal Death Metal machinery!! Also if you're a pure fan of BELPHEGOR, this is damn the same destructive energy! Maybe the production & some arrangements are too "mechanical" sometimes but this doesn't ruin their extremity, this is simply perfect & heavy, exhausting listening, total Warmageddon, BUY OR DIE!! 2 ELGIN AVE.
